Through this virtual learning process students have adapted to different ways of learning. Students continue to learn new lessons throughout this process. This presentation amazed me not only because of how well every group worked together and projected their information but also because it showed how well classmates have adapted to online learning. Presentations only get better; students build better teamwork skills and organization. My group has built great communication skills among all group members and each presentation we realize where we went wrong and learn from it. I know for a fact all my classmates will make their next presentations even better than this recent one and the first one we ever did.
This presentation was very interesting because we learned about different disabilities. Throughout this presentation there was different ways of sharing the information all students did some research such as interviewing people with disabilities, causes behind the disabilities, how the disabilities developed overtime, resources provided for the disabilities, etc. It was eye opening to learn how people with disabilities feel and handle day to day situations. Everyone more or less has a better understanding now after researching all about disabilities.
I had to talk about the history of visual impairment and how to communicate with a visually impaired person. Learning about the history and communication of this disability was amazing because I learned things I would have never imagined. I learned from the proper way to communicate with someone who has this disability to seeing how resources developed for the visually impaired overtime. I was assigned a very interesting topic because I also discovered how braille came to be which is basically a reading form for the blind. It’s important to learn new things every day and this presentation definitely taught my group members and I important information based on disabilities.
My group did a great job organizing the presentation and making it appealing. Our leader did an amazing job assigning each and everyone one of us a topic and overall guided us throughout our presentation. We all communicate very well and help one another with questions or any type of concern through our group chat in WhatsApp. I think we did an even better job in this presentation compared to our very first one. It seems to me that my group is adapting better to this whole online learning situation and we only continue getting better each time.
Overall, I think all groups did a great job, just the fact that each presentation looked like it had a lot of time put into it is incredible. The presentations were well done, organized, and provided factual information. This presentation taught a lot of us to not judge others with disabilities and most importantly treat everyone equally because at the end of the day everyone has feelings and a disability shouldn’t label who a person is. I enjoyed learning throughout this presentation, and I think it was a very eye-opening assignment for all students. I’m excited to continue learning throughout the rest of the presentations that we have left to do.
